How to play Blazes
Blazes is a game about identifying trail markers and map symbols: you see the sign and choose what it means from four options. It is free, runs in your browser and needs no login; it is a collectible album, not a strictly daily challenge.

- 1Look at the sign on the card: a route blaze, a warning pictogram or a map symbol.
- 2Pick the right meaning from the four options, watching for details like the X that marks a wrong direction.
- 3Get it right and the card shows the real sign out on the trail plus a fact, and it joins your collection.
- 4Move to the next one and complete the album, filtering by Trail blazes, Pictograms or Map symbols.
Tips to score higher
- Master the GR and PR blazes first: the double bar means right way and the X means wrong direction; completing that family earns a badge.
- Hard mode has five options and no hint, making it tougher to separate similar signs like right way and change of direction.
- In Confidence mode you stake 1, 2 or 3 depending on your certainty, useful for locking in the map symbols you tend to confuse.
