How to play Timeline
Timeline is a daily guess-the-year game: it gives you an event and you try to nail the year it happened. It is free to play in the browser, with no install and no login.

- 1Read the event on the card.

- 3The game tells you whether it was earlier or later, with hot/cold hints.
- 4Narrow it down to the margin (2 years on normal) within 6 tries.
Tips to score higher
- In Sequencing mode you do not guess years: you order several events from oldest to newest, and a perfect order levels you up with more cards (up to 6).
- In Sequencing, equal years count in any order, but a single mistake reveals every year and resets to the base size (4 cards).
- In Range Wager you pick a guess and a width (1 to 20 years): tight brackets pay more and an exact hit gives a bullseye bonus, but they miss more easily.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it free and account-free?
- Yes, it runs in the browser with no login or install; the records for each mode stay on your device.
- What does Sequencing mode do?
- Instead of one guess, it gives you several events to place in chronological order on the same timeline. Getting them all right levels you up with more cards; a miss reveals the years and restarts at the base size.
